Finance Impact e-Letter: Nov. 15 Issue Covers ‘One Car, One Difference,’ Year-end Topics
The Nov. 15 issue of the Finance Impact Department’s e-Letter has been published and is available online.
As we approach year’s end, most councils are focused on closing out the current fiscal year and beginning the new fundraising season. This edition of the e-Letter features an article about One Car One Difference, the program that allows donors to donate cars, trailers, boats, or virtually anything on wheels to benefit BSA local councils. It is a profitable program wherein councils keep more than 80 percent of the revenue, on average, while utilizing a small workforce; councils will just need to promote the program on their websites.
Also in this issue are articles on the following topics:
- National Major Gifts Award
- Available scholarship funds for development professionals to join the Association of Fundraising Professionals
- Auction consignment
- The giving pattern of high net-worth donors
- Development and fiscal webinars, which includes year-end close procedures for fundraising, SellWise, and PeopleSoft
