National Development and Fiscal Management Symposium Planned for April

Development and Corporate Alliances and the Finance Impact Department are pleased to announce registration for the 2013 National Development and Fiscal Management Symposium has begun. The dates are April 24–26 at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel in Northbrook, Illinois (Chicago area); and May 19–21 at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth area), prior to the BSA National Annual Meeting. The registration fee is $345 for participants.

 

 

This year’s keynote presenter is Steve Chandler, the internationally known speaker and personal success coach, who has worked with more than 30 Fortune 500 companies. Chandler is the author of 30 books published in 25 languages. Some of his popular books include 100 Ways to Motivate Yourself, RelationShift: Revolutionary Fundraising, and Warrior: How to defeat procrastination, people-pleasing, self-doubt, over-commitment, broken promises and chaos.

Considered one of America’s renowned motivational speakers, Chandler is a two-time winner of the national Audio of the Year award from King Features Syndicate. He is the founder of the Coaching Prosperity School, which focuses on helping attendees build their clients and increase their prosperity. In addition, he has appeared in NBC’s Starting Over—the Emmy award-winning reality show.

The symposium is open to all council volunteers and employees with fundraising or fiscal management responsibilities. The registration fee includes meals and course materialsincluding Time Warrior, Chandler’s book on the subject of time management, and a CD, “Nonlinear Time Management.” Participants are responsible for their travels to and from the symposium and hotel costs.

Registration is now open. If you intend to follow a fund development track during the symposium, you will be offered course selections at a later date.
