Finance Impact e-Letter: Oct. 15 Issue Covers Accounting for Lowe’s Gift Cards

The October 15 issue of the Finance Impact Department’s e-Letter has been published and is available online.

This issue explains proper accounting procedures for distributing and recording Lowe’s gift cards, which are available to Eagle Scout candidates to assist with the financial costs of Eagle Scout projects.

Also in this issue are the 2012 national estimated value of a volunteer’s time, information on how to keep your customers loyal, NESA’s new instructional videos posted on its YouTube channel, and the various fiscal management and fund development webinars.

    Please review the FAQ on MYBSA Trail to Eagle site. It specifically indicates that the council is not responsible for receiving, recording or distributing cards in this the second year
    of the Lowes Program.

    Why was time spent (wasted) doing this when Councils were told they wouldn’t have to handle the cards? Spend your time and money wisely ~
