2013 BOYS’ LIFE Growth Award: Did You Qualify?
The BOYS’ LIFE Growth Award is given twice annually (June and December) to recognize and thank BSA professionals who achieve a 3 percent or greater BOYS’ LIFE subscription growth and/or serve a 68 percent or greater market share of the total of Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Webelos Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Varsity Scouts in their area of service.
BSA professionals who have a direct responsibility to promote BOYS’ LIFE, including unit-serving executives, field directors, directors of field service, Scout executives, regional directors, and area directors.
To qualify, you must:
- Have served in the position for at least four months prior to December 31, 2013.
- Have a minimum of 200 BOYS’ LIFE subscriptions in the area of service on December 31, 2013.
- Show a gain of at least 3 percent in the number of BOYS’ LIFE subscriptions on December 31, 2013, vs. December 31, 2012, or have a 68 percent or greater market share (density).
Your BOYS’ LIFE market share (density) is calculated by dividing the number of BOYS’ LIFE subscriptions in your area of service by the membership total of Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Webelos Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Varsity Scouts only. Do not include Venturers or Learning for Life participants.
