Dr. Gates: First and foremost, thank you for the extraordinary service you have given to our country. You are a great leader who is serving our proud movement at a time when you are most needed. Thank you for your decisive message that tells the world we will not be re-opening the membership standards issue under your watch. God bless!

  2. Richard A."Dick"Boettcher says:

Thank you Dr. Gates for accepting this position. I have been a scout or scouter for well over 50 years. You are a true leader all Americans respect. I was hoping I would see you as a candidate for the office of President of the USA. This is a great stop along the way. I was pleased to hear you will not advocate any changes to the Scout Oath and scout laws or membership standards
